Friends of the Animals at Cedar Creek Lake is a 501[c][3] non-profit organization running the Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic in Gun Barrel City. This clinic is open to anyone anywhere and does surgery every Tuesday by appointment only, at 903-887-PETS (7387).

The spay/neuter clinic is open for surgeries, by appointment only, every Tuesday! To schedule a surgery appointment, call 903-887-7387 and leave your name/number with voicemail. Debbie will return your call. We require $20 deposit to hold all surgery appointments. Debbie can take credit/debit card on the phone.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, there will be a $20 non-refundable (ask for details) deposit on every appointment for surgery. This deposit will apply to your balance. BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2025, WE WILL LIMIT THE NUMBER OF FERAL CATS ON SURGERY DAY TO 12. LIMIT ONE CAT PER TRAP PER PERSON. Cats Trapped (Feral Cats) $50 includes surgery, rabies, flea pill (heat $10 extra/pregnancy $20 extra.) We will tip the left ear. To qualify for feral cat pricing, cat must be in a trap and brought to the clinic (STILL IN THE TRAP), any Tuesday morning between 6-8:30. Maximum of 1 cat per Tuesday. We lend out cat traps - $70 deposit required (our cost to replace). This can be arranged any Tuesday from 6am-4pm. Surgery Pricing as of Nov 1, 2023: Cats Male $50 (includes flea pill) Cats Female $60 (includes flea pill - heat $10 extra/pregnancy $20 extra) Dogs Male Under 40lbs $64 (includes flea & pain pills) Dogs Male 40-70lbs $74 (includes flea & pain pills) Dogs Male Undescended Testicle $25 Extra Charge All male dogs go home with antibiotics ($5-$10) Dogs Female Under 40lbs $74 (includes flea & pain pills) Dogs Female 40-70lbs $79 (includes flea & pain pills) Dogs Female Pregnant $20 Extra Or In-heat $10 Extra Charge Rabies vaccination required, without proof within last year $15

The deposit is refundable ONLY if your appointment is cancelled by 4:00 pm on the Saturday prior to your Tuesday surgery appointment. If you reschedule your appointment, your deposit goes with that appointment.
